The Club is a leading course in the Illawarra, is profitable, has 1200 members, an annual turnover of $2.4M, three functions rooms, bistro seating and large lounge area.
The Board is seeking the services of an astute business manager for the role of General Manager of the Club. With full accountability for profitability; the setting of strategic direction and the smooth, efficient and effective running of the day to day operation of the Club. The General Manager will be required to be on the premises during peak trade, (Friday and Saturday and Major Events) to ensure that delivery of service standards are maintained.
Duties and tasks Include (but are not limited to):
- Financial management and reporting
- Marketing and promotion
- Strategic planning and direction
- Food and Beverage management
- Human resource management
- OH&S
- Gaming Compliance and Corporate Governance
To be considered for this role you will:
- Have sound financial management skills
- Be passionate about marketing and promoting all the benefits
- Possess sound business acumen and be business savvy
- Be a strong leader with the ability to communicate across all levels of business
- Have a practical and well developed knowledge of Gaming and Hospitality
- Be analytical and able to address trends promptly and business opportunities ( and make them a reality)
- Extensive experience in functions, food and beverage
- Be able to develop, adhere to and adjust a strategic business plan
- Have a knowledge of the game of golf
- Commit to ensuring that the Board of directors is kept well informed
- Above all, be diligent in your duties, honest and possess the highest levels of integrity
