Job Description
Contract Caterer Nelson Bay Golf ClubNelson Bay Golf Club is seeking an experienced Contract Caterer to take over our food operations from 1 April 2026. Our new Clubhouse, now only eight years old, offers a modern and well-equipped environment to support high-quality dining and event experiences.
This is a prime opportunity to partner with a leading destination golf and events venue in beautiful Port Stephens.
About the Club
Located near the Nelson Bay CBD and the blue-water playground of Port Stephens, the Club features a 27-hole course across 175 acres of native bushland. The venue attracts members, locals, social golfers and visitors for golf, relaxed dining and events in a unique coastal bushland setting.
The Opportunity
The Club is inviting expressions of interest from qualified Contract Caterers to manage all food services from 1 April 2025. This includes:
- Restaurant – operating 7 days/week for lunch and dinner
- Café operating 7 days/week
- Food to be provided to our Golf shop daily
- Corporate golf days and special events
- Weddings, celebrations and Club functions
- Our halfway house for golfers is operated on Wednesday & Saturday
- Annual food turnover is circa $2.4m with opportunity for growth
- Work with Club Management in the operation of the Restaurant and Function Facility.
- Design and deliver seasonal menus for casual dining, functions and weddings.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and safety.
- Manage all kitchen operations, including staffing, purchasing and cost control.
- Work closely with Club management and the events team to deliver successful functions.
- Have strong experience as a contract caterer or hospitality operator in clubs, resorts or similar venues.
- Demonstrate sound financial and operational management.
- Be customer-focused, collaborative and able to build strong relationships with the Club and its patrons.
