An established and forward‑thinking licensed club in Sydney’s Inner West is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role—driving high‑quality hospitality, strong operational performance, and exceptional experiences for members and guests.
This senior operational position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast‑paced hospitality environments and brings a solid understanding of the operational, people, and compliance requirements of licensed clubs.
The Club is also open to considering an experienced hospitality manager who is ready to step up and excel in a senior leadership role for the first time.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operational performance of the Club. This role leads diverse hospitality teams, ensuring the smooth execution of service delivery, compliance, and operational efficiency across all trading areas.
You’ll be a proactive leader with strong people skills—someone who sets the standard, thrives in fast-paced environments, and inspires teams to deliver their best every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire operational and hospitality teams to achieve service and business goals
- Oversee daily club operations to ensure seamless service and consistent operational performance
- Develop efficient, well-structured rosters aligned to business requirements and KPIs
- Support the General Manager with operational planning, initiatives, and execution
- Champion high levels of customer service and ensure memorable experiences for members and guests
- Ensure full compliance with legislative, regulatory, and licensing obligations
- Implement strong operational systems, training, and performance standards that drive continuous improvement
You will thrive in this role if you bring:
- At least 5 years of hospitality experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in licensed clubs, hotels, or large‑scale hospitality venues
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams
- Solid understanding of legislative and compliance requirements for licensed venues
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to stay calm, focused, and effective in high-volume environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding member experiences
- Attractive six‑figure salary package (negotiable based on experience)
