We’re seeking an experienced hospitality professional or a capable two-person team to lead the Commercial Hotel Pambula – affectionately known as ‘The Top Pub’ – a historic country pub established in 1878 and a much-loved hub for locals and visitors alike. If you thrive in friendly coastal communities and love creating a welcoming pub atmosphere, this is a rare opportunity.

The Top Pub is open 7 days a week and is home to Bistro 1878, a bright and spacious bistro offering quality food in a relaxed setting. The venue is a true community local, with regular raffles, members’ draws and a loyal membership base.
About you
You’re a hands-on operator with solid experience in pub or venue management,
confident running day-to-day operations and leading a small team. You’ll be customer- focused, community-minded and comfortable being the face of the venue in a close-knit town. The role would suit:
- A single experienced manager ready to take full ownership of the operation, or
- A capable couple/two-person team who can share responsibilities across bar, bistro, kitchen coordination, functions and admin.
- Oversee all daily operations of the bar, bistro and gaming (where applicable).
- Lead, roster and support staff to deliver consistent, welcoming service.
- Drive revenue through food, beverage, events, raffles and members promotions.
- Maintain venue presentation, compliance and safety standards.
- Build strong relationships with locals, members and visitors.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to lift service standards and profitability.
- A collaborative, team-first approach and calm under pressure.
- Current NSW RSA and RCG certifications (or willingness to obtain).
