Make your mark in a values-driven community club
Ettalong Diggers is a proud community-based club on the Central Coast, offering dining, hospitality, gaming and entertainment experiences anchored in strong local connections. We’re now seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the people function and partner with leaders to build a compliant, engaged and high-performing workforce.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both strategy and rolling up their sleeves in a fast-paced, service-led environment.
About the role
With support from a dedicated HR Coordinator, the HR Manager will partner closely with the executive team to manage all aspects of HR across the club, focusing on practical advice, solid systems and up-to-date people practices.
You’ll be trusted to:
- Deliver end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle
- Act as a key advisor to leaders on employee relations, awards and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in HR systems, policies and processes
- Support workforce planning, capability development and performance
- Maintain a strong, positive culture aligned to the club’s values
- Lead employee and industrial relations, including performance management, grievances and investigations
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation and awards
- High level of involvement in the Club’s WHS and compliance framework
- Manage recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives
- Oversee HR policies, contracts, position descriptions and compliance documentation
- Support leaders with coaching, advice and employee engagement strategies
- Analyse workforce data and provide insights to support decision-making
Our Ideal Candidate
You’ll be a confident, credible HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and being part of the day-to-day operation.
You’ll bring:
- Proven HR management experience, ideally within clubs, hospitality or a 24/7 environment
- Strong working knowledge of Australian industrial relations and Fair Work legislation
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with high emotional intelligence
- The ability to influence, build trust and manage complex employee matters
- Experience using Employment Hero or a similar HRIS (highly regarded)
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, business or a related field
- Play a key role in a well-established, community-focused club
- Broad and autonomous HR role with executive exposure
- Supportive leadership team and engaged workplace culture
- Live and work on the beautiful Central Coast
