Secretary Manager
Wee Waa Bowling Club

Wee Waa Bowling Club Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Secretary Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our community-focused Club. This pivotal leadership role works closely with the Operations Manager and the Board of Directors, playing a key part in ensuring the Club operates efficiently, compliantly and in line with its strategic objectives. You will be hands-on, highly organised and passionate about delivering strong governance, operational excellence and outstanding member experiences.

About the Role
As Secretary Manager, you will be responsible for the overall administration, governance support, financial oversight and operational leadership of the Club. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a well-rounded club professional who thrives on responsibility, teamwork and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the smooth day-to-day operation of the Clu
  • Support governance processes including Board meetings and minutes
  • Oversee financial reconciliations, cash handling and EFTPOS accuracy
  • Monitor invoices, Profit & Loss reports and statutory compliance (BAS, gaming, workers compensation)
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Club, gaming, liquor, WHS and food & beverage legislation
  • Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Assist with recruitment, training and staff development
  • Implement and review Club policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Identify Government grant opportunities and report to the Board
Our Ideal Candidate
You will be a capable and motivated club professional who brings:
  • Experience across bar, gaming, TAB, cellar, stock control and cash management
  • Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive approach
  • Sound problem-solving ability with resilience and patience
  • Confidence with systems, reporting and computer use• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to lead by example
  • Willingness to maintain compliance through ongoing training and development
What We Offer
  • Secure, salaried full-time role (38 hours per week)
  • Roster worked Tuesday to Friday and at least one weekend day
