West Tradies is seeking a strong, forward-thinking Operations Manager who can lead by example and help shape a positive, high-performance team culture. This role will suit someone who understands how to build trust, set clear expectations, and bring people on the journey, while lifting standards across the venue.
The Club is entering an exciting phase, with a clear focus on strengthening its position in the market and enhancing the overall experience for members and guests. This presents a great opportunity for an experienced operator who enjoys improving performance, providing excellent customer experience, driving consistency, and supporting teams through change in a constructive and respectful way.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee day-to-day operations across the club, ensuring smooth service delivery, strong team engagement, and compliance across all areas, including bar, gaming, catering and floor operations.
You’ll be visible on the floor, driving standards, supporting your team, and ensuring members and guests consistently enjoy a high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support floor managers and supervisors and front-line teams across all operational departments
- Deliver exceptional member and guest experiences through exceptional service standards
- Drive operational efficiency, roster optimisation, and cost control
- Ensure full compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS, AML/CTF and club policies
- Establish and maintain presentation standards across all areas of the venue
- Contribute to promotions, events, and operational initiatives
- Build and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture
- Proven experience in a club or hotel, hospitality or venue operations leadership role
- Hands-on leader who enjoys being present on the floor
- Strong knowledge of gaming, beverage, catering and club operations
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements (RSA, RCG, WHS, AML/CTF)
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead, develop and motivate teams
- Able to support teams through structural change while maintaining clear standards and direction
- Strong organisational skills with a solutions-focused mindset
