Job Description

Chief Executive Officer

Club Narrabri is seeking an experienced, commercially astute and community-minded Chief Executive Officer to lead the Club through its next stage of growth.

This is a pivotal appointment for the Club’s future and requires a leader with the vision, drive, skills, passion and understanding of community responsibilities to guide the organisation through its next chapter.

Club Narrabri operates across three important community venues: Narrabri RSL, Narrabri Golfie and Narrabri Bowlo. Together, the venues provide high-quality facilities and country-friendly service for members and guests, including dining, bars, functions, golf, bowls, entertainment, community activities and gaming operations.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the overall business, support and mentor venue management and staff, strengthen member and community engagement, and ensure each venue operates sustainably and profitably.
Strategically, the CEO will work closely with the Board to shape and execute the Club’s asset and investment strategy, identify practical growth opportunities and ensure future decisions align with the Club’s purpose, values and long-term objectives.

The ideal applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
  
  • Demonstrated management experience in comparable or larger sized hospitality operations, licensed community and sporting clubs with gaming operations.
  • Strong leadership, human resource skills and the ability to delegate
  • Strong communication skills with all stakeholder groups
  • Manage and motivate teams to share the organisation’s agreed purpose, vision and future plans.
  • Proven experience in driving revenue with effective sales and marketing.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Sound knowledge of food, beverage, functions, gaming operations, marketing, loyalty activities and legislative requirements.
  • Sound financial knowledge and written skills.
  • Experience planning and overseeing building and capital expenditure projects; and
  • Hold relevant gaming and liquor licensing certificates.
