Cronulla RSL presents a rare opportunity to lead a well-established, community-focused club into its next phase of performance and growth.
Positioned in the heart of Cronulla and just moments from some of Sydney’s most iconic beaches, the Club enjoys a standout coastal setting and a deeply connected local membership base. It operates as more than just a traditional club - it is a vibrant lifestyle destination, offering a dynamic mix of dining, bars, entertainment and social spaces that attract both loyal members and a broader coastal audience.
Operating in one of the most competitive and fast-moving club markets in NSW, this role calls for a forward-thinking leader who can bring commercial acumen, strong stakeholder engagement and a clear strategic mindset to build on this momentum.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strong, visible leadership across all aspects of the business, with a clear focus on:
- Driving and executing the Club’s strategic direction
- Partnering closely with the Board to shape long-term priorities
- Leading a capable executive and operational team
- Ensuring strong governance, risk management and compliance frameworks
- Strengthening the Club’s position within a highly competitive local market
This is not an operational “caretaker” role - it is a leadership position requiring clarity of thought, decisiveness and the ability to influence outcomes at both Board and community level.
About You
You are an experienced senior leader with a track record of delivering results in complex, stakeholder-driven environments.
You will bring:
- Proven leadership capability across multi-functional teams
- Strong strategic thinking, critical thinking, and execution capability
- The ability to operate effectively in a Board-led governance environment
- Highly developed communication skills, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to perform in competitive or contested markets
- Sound understanding of risk, compliance and governance obligations
