Lithgow Workies is one of regional NSW's most respected and longstanding clubs, proudly serving its community since 1887. Located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, just two hours from Sydney, the club offers a diverse hospitality operation including multiple bars, gaming, dining venues, entertainment spaces, functions, and a 36-room, award-winning motel, with future expansion already planned.

As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to join our executive leadership team and play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for members, guests and staff.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO/General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the club, leading multiple departments while ensuring operational excellence, legislative compliance and a strong member focus across the business.

This is a broad and rewarding leadership position suited to a hospitality professional who enjoys being visible, engaged and actively involved in all aspects of club operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams across multiple operational departments
  • Drive exceptional member and guest experiences throughout the club
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and employee development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with club policies, WHS, liquor and gaming legislation
  • Oversee entertainment, events and operational delivery across the venue
  • Maintain high presentation, service and operational standards
  • Work closely with department leaders to achieve business and financial objectives
  • Assist with rostering, budgeting, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage member feedback and operational issues professionally and effectively
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven leadership experience within clubs, hospitality, hotels or large-scale venues
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience across recruitment, performance management and employee engagement
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound knowledge of hospitality compliance, policies and operational procedures
  • Experience coordinating entertainment, events or functions will be highly regarded
  • A genuine passion for customer service and operational excellence
  • Current RSA, RCG and First Aid qualifications, or the ability to obtain them
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation when required
