Lead a Club at the Heart of the Riverina
Rules Club & Quality Hotel Wagga Wagga is more than a club – it's a vibrant sports, hospitality and community destination. With modern dining venues, gaming, entertainment, functions, sporting facilities and on-site accommodation, the Club plays an important role in the lives of members, guests and the broader Wagga Wagga community.
We are seeking an engaging and visible General Manager who can bring people together, build strong relationships and continue to strengthen the Club's position as one of the region's leading hospitality and community venues.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board, you will lead a diverse operation spanning club, hospitality, gaming, food and beverage, events, sporting facilities and the adjoining Quality Hotel Wagga Wagga. This is a rare opportunity to oversee a multi-faceted business while delivering exceptional experiences for members, guests and the wider community.
A highly visible leader, you will work closely with staff, members, community stakeholders and the Board to drive operational excellence, financial sustainability and a strong, member-focused culture across the entire precinct.

You are a visible, approachable and commercially minded leader who understands that successful clubs are built on strong relationships, sound business decisions and effective leadership. You enjoy being out on the floor engaging with members and staff, but you are equally comfortable leading a complex hospitality business, managing risk and compliance, and making difficult decisions when required. You bring both industry knowledge and the leadership capability to unite teams, develop people and drive sustainable business performance.

- A visible and approachable leadership style with a genuine club presence.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clubs, hospitality or other multi-faceted service
environments. - Sound knowledge of the club industry, including compliance, governance and gaming
operations. - Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, improve performance and manage costs.
- Experience leading and developing management teams while fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture.
- Confidence managing complex people and HR matters, including employee relations and workforce challenges.
- The ability to engage effectively with members, staff, community groups, stakeholders and the Board.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead through influence, visibility and trust.
