Job Description
GENERAL MANAGERHarden Country Club, NSW
The Opportunity Harden Country Club is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our club into its next chapter. This is a hands-on role suited to a genuine all-rounder who can work across every level of the business, from the gaming floor to the boardroom.
Established in 1931 and home to an 18-hole golf course, our brand-new clubhouse was completed in 2024, and the Club sits proudly at the heart of the Harden community. Enjoy genuine regional lifestyle with excellent connectivity — approximately 1.5 hours from Canberra, 1.5 hours from Wagga Wagga, and 3.5 hours from Sydney.

- Facilities include an 18-hole golf course, bistro dining, a flexible function room for weddings and events, on-site accommodation, and tennis courts
- 45 staff across bars, golf, catering, hotel and administration
- Provide strong, visible, hands-on leadership across all areas of club operations
- Build genuine rapport with members, staff and the Board — uniting people around a shared vision
- Drive the club's financial performance, including budgeting, reporting and revenue growth
- Ensure full compliance with the club's statutory and regulatory obligations under the Registered Clubs Act and associated liquor, gaming and licensing legislation
- Oversee day-to-day operations across catering, gaming, bar and function areas
- Support and develop a positive workplace culture among staff at all levels
- General Manager or senior management experience within the registered clubs or hospitality industry
- Exceptional people skills, with a demonstrated ability to liaise, engage and unite members, staff and the Board alike
- Strong financial acumen and commercial decision-making ability
- Sound understanding of a club's statutory and compliance obligations
- An approachable leadership style with a genuine presence on the floor
- Current RSA, RCG and relevant industry qualifications (or ability to obtain)
