Job Description

HR Manager
Build the people and culture of one of Western Sydney's leading Clubs.
Club Blacktown is seeking a motivated HR Manager to establish and lead our Human Resources function.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created leadership role will oversee the full employee lifecycle while partnering with the management team to build a positive workplace culture, ensure legislative compliance and support the ongoing growth and development of our people.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with leaders across the Club to attract, develop and retain great people while driving continuous improvement in our HR practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Club's HR function.
  • Review and maintain HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention and recognition initiatives.
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, training and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, WHS and employment legislation.
  • Support workers compensation, return to work and psychosocial risk initiatives.
  • Manage employee records, uniforms, security access and HR administration.
  • Prepare HR reporting and support continuous improvement projects

About You
You will bring:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, employment law and the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award.
  • Excellent recruitment, employee relations and communication skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and best practice frameworks.
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with strong report writing and written communication abilities.
  • Experience within hospitality or the Registered Club industry will be highly regarded.
