CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERCommunity Sports Club | Hunter Region, NSW
The Opportunity
A well-established, small to medium community sports club in the Hunter Region of NSW is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the Club into its next chapter. Having delivered growth over recent years, the Club is now looking for a leader to build on that momentum. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a genuine all-rounder who can work across every level of the business.
The Club is a well-loved community hub offering sporting facilities, bistro dining, gaming, and a busy calendar of social events and functions. The identity of the Club will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates as part of the recruitment process.

- Provide strong, visible, hands-on leadership across all areas of Club operations
- Build genuine rapport with members, staff and the Board
- Drive the Club's financial performance, including budgeting, reporting and revenue growth across bistro, bar, gaming and functions
- Ensure full compliance with the Club's statutory and regulatory obligations under the Registered Clubs Act and associated liquor, gaming and licensing legislation
- Oversee day-to-day operations across the bar, gaming, sporting facilities and function areas
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the Club's bistro caterer
- Support and develop a positive, welcoming workplace culture among staff at all levels
- CEO, General Manager or senior management experience within the registered clubs or hospitality industry
- Exceptional people skills, with a demonstrated ability to liaise, engage and unite members, staff and the Board alike
- Strong financial acumen and commercial decision-making ability
- Sound understanding of a club's statutory and compliance obligations
- An approachable, community-minded leadership style with a genuine presence on the floor
