Wests Tradies is one of South West Sydney's leading registered clubs, proudly serving our community through exceptional hospitality, entertainment, dining and sporting facilities. With a strong financial position, a loyal membership base and a commitment to providing outstanding experiences, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to join our leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a hands-on operational role, enjoys leading people, and has the confidence to make decisions, solve problems and drive results. You'll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue while ensuring our members and guests receive exceptional service every visit.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of our venue and lead a high-performing team.
This is more than a traditional management role. We're looking for a proactive leader who can use their initiative, communicate effectively across all levels of the business, and foster a positive culture focused on service excellence, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the venue
  • Lead, mentor and support department leaders and frontline team members
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered
  • Drive operational performance, productivity and financial outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with the Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act, WHS, AML/CTF and RSA/RCG requirements
  • Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness and service delivery standards
  • Manage staffing levels, labour costs and operational resources effectively
  • Investigate and resolve member and guest concerns in a professional manner
  • Prepare operational reports and communicate key business outcomes to senior management
  • Champion a positive workplace culture and lead by example
About You
  • Previous experience in a Venue Manager, Operations Manager or Senior Duty Manager role within the club or hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident and decisive leader who can think on their feet and use initiative
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness
  • Experience managing multiple departments within a hospitality operation
  • Sound knowledge of gaming, food & beverage, compliance and club operations
  • Current RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG qualifications
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends when required
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding member experiences
