Payroll OfficerPart Time | Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club | 2 days per week

Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of our weekly payroll function on a permanent part-time basis.
This is a dedicated payroll role working approximately two days per week, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working independently while also being part of a friendly and supportive team.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working closely with the Finance team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end weekly payroll process for approximately 195 team members across our Club operations.
The role will include:
Payroll processing
- Reviewing and validating timesheets prior to payroll processing
- Identifying and resolving timesheet discrepancies, missing or incorrect clock-ins, leave issues, allowances and other payroll exceptions
- End-to-end weekly payroll processing
- Payroll reconciliations, adjustments and corrections
- Processing employee changes, leave and terminations
Compliance & reporting
- Superannuation administration and payroll-related statutory requirements
- STP and end-of-financial-year payroll processes
- Long service leave administration, including maintaining service histories and assisting with eligibility and entitlement calculations
- Payroll reporting and audit support
Systems & records
- Maintaining accurate payroll and entitlement records
- Maintaining payroll data integrity across our rostering and payroll systems
- Working closely with Finance on payroll reconciliations, reporting and other payroll-related financial matters
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience independently managing end-to-end payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, entitlements and statutory requirements
- Experience working with a rostered workforce
- Confidence investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and unusual payroll issues
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the payroll process
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a small, friendly team
- Experience within the registered club or hospitality industry will be highly regarded, particularly experience with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award.
- Experience with TANDA and MYOB AccountRight would also be highly regarded, although strong experience with comparable systems will be considered.
For the right candidate, additional hours may also be available to assist with general HR administration. These hours would be in addition to the dedicated payroll days.
Remuneration will be negotiated depending on experience.
